But he could never know how gravity works.

So Einstein was researching light energy.
Einstein was a clerk in the Swiss bank by profession but he was also researching physics.
So at that time, he was doing his research on light and he realized that light is the fastest energy and no one can exceed its speed.
So this research faced him with the gravity of newton.
Because the gravity of newton used to tell that the gravitational waves which are used instantly make an impact on any object.
For example, if the sun disappeared in a second, the rest of the planets would be roll- off from their orbit immediately.
So this talk of newton did not satisfy einstein so he started doing more research.
Then ten years later, he put forward his theory and this was General relativity.

Einstein stated in this theory that the speed of gravitational waves is as much as the speed of light.
For example, if the sun instantly disappeared, the planets would take some time to get out of the orbit.
Because light also takes 7 min 45 sec time to reach the sun from the earth.
So to remove the gravity waves will also take 7 min 45 sec.
Apart from this, he unified the space and time and since then the word came up which we call spacetime.

The gravity model of einstein was that gravity was a kind of geometrical curvature, which is created in spacetime from the mass of the object.

Spacetime is like a fabric made up of three dimensions of space and one dimension of time.
