What is gravity? Fully explained 2020

You must have heard the name of gravity or you may have read about gravity in books.

So the question now is what is gravity?

So is gravity just such a force that drops things just below?

The answer is no because gravity is many times more than that.

In this article you will be given complete information about gravity, what is gravity, how it works, how term gravity was invented.

So if you want to know detailed information about gravity then read this article till the end.

    What is gravity?

Gravity is a force that attracts two objects that have mass towards each other.

It is not only limited to mass, but energy also gets attracted through gravity.

Gravity is an important thing that affects us everywhere.

We are the biggest proof of gravity like how we stand on our feet.

As you will also see in the solar system how the sun is the center of the solar system and all planets revolve around the sun, this is also possible due to gravity.

The influence of the gravity of the sun which puts on every planet of the solar system, due to which every planet can revolve on its orbit.

Sun was also born in this manner.

All the particles of sun and whatever atoms and molecules of hydrogen were concentrated in one place.

And their gravity started to pull each other in and nuclear fusion started after that.

So due to gravity, everyone who has mass gets attracted to each other.

No matter how small the particle is.

For example, the black hole in andromeda galaxy which is 2.5 million light-years away from us is also attracting from us gravitationally and we also attract from it gravitationally.

But a factor comes here, that is distance.

In the 17th century, Sir Isaac newton you may have heard about them.

So he made many observations on which he has made many formulas.

So this first observation which is the range of gravity and force of gravity depends on the object mass.

    For example-Sun

Right now the mass of the sun is very high. It is at least 99% of the solar system.

Sun can pull all the planets due to its mass.

The second observation was that as the distance between two objects increases, the gravity decreases.

And you must surely know how the moon affects the gravity of our earth.

Now it is not seen on us but you get to see the tides and waves of oceans.

This is the gravitational pull of the moon influencing the wave behavior.

If we talk about massive stars and black holes, then their gravitational pull is very high.

So I told you earlier that gravity is only between objects that have mass.

This is not the case because gravity is also able to attract energy.

For example, if you put the beam of light on the covered surface of the sun, even if that light is going straight, it will bend.

Light's particle photon is a massless particle, yet gravity is capable of bending that light particle.

Some questions are that what is the reason that gravity creates such a force so that the objects are drawn towards each other.

    How does gravity work?

In the 17th century, Isaac Newton discovered gravity.

Like when an apple falls below, why does it fall, He studied it a lot and He speculated that the force which is falling down the apple will be able to place the moon in the orbit of the earth.

He did a lot of calculations on this subject.

And he also created a formula on gravity, which was able to predict with great accuracy what will be the gravitational force.

But he could never know how gravity works.

He knew how much the force of gravity would be and predicted his formulas correctly, but he could never understand why gravity is created.

Then three centuries later, Albert Einstein came.

So Einstein was researching light energy.

Einstein was a clerk in the Swiss bank by profession but he was also researching physics.

So at that time, he was doing his research on light and he realized that light is the fastest energy and no one can exceed its speed.

So this research faced him with the gravity of newton.

Because the gravity of newton used to tell that the gravitational waves which are used instantly make an impact on any object.

For example, if the sun disappeared in a second, the rest of the planets would be roll- off from their orbit immediately.

So this talk of newton did not satisfy einstein so he started doing more research.

Then ten years later, he put forward his theory and this was General relativity.

Einstein stated in this theory that the speed of gravitational waves is as much as the speed of light.

For example, if the sun instantly disappeared, the planets would take some time to get out of the orbit.

Because light also takes 7 min 45 sec time to reach the sun from the earth.

So to remove the gravity waves will also take 7 min 45 sec.

Apart from this, he unified the space and time and since then the word came up which we call spacetime.

Three dimensions of space and one dimension of time are merged into four dimensions of space-time.

The gravity model of einstein was that gravity was a kind of geometrical curvature, which is created in spacetime from the mass of the object.

But first I tell you about space-time.

Spacetime is like a fabric made up of three dimensions of space and one dimension of time.

Just as placing an object in the fabric will create a warp on the fabric, then because of that warp, a geometrical curvature will be created and the lightly massed objects from it are attracted to the heavy object.

Sun is an object whose mass is the highest.

Sun has created a curvature at spacetime through its mass and all the light objects such as earth and all the planets are rotating on that curve.

So this is the way gravity works in the solar system.

    Conclusion

So in a way, it was a model of gravity.

A lot of calculations and predictions were made and this model of einstein was also consistent.

So it became a theory which was earlier only a hypothesis.

So this was the complete information about what is gravity and how it works.
